About the event
This is a day out for those with an intermediate level of fitness.
Meeting point for this day is the Succoth car park to the west of Arrochar, given its proximity to Glasgow this pay & display car park always fills early so please arrive early.
An initial climb up through pine woods will see us on to the open hillside before long as we aim for Ben Narnain via the Spearhead. This feature is the first of many that offers insight in to the history of Scottish Mountaineering with many of our famous mountaineers cutting their teeth on these same peaks way back in times when travel was for the wealthy, these proved as play grounds for the Clyde-side dockers who would go on to do great things, The Junior Mountaineering Club of Scotland formed on these very slopes, beneath the Narnain Boulders one very wet and miserable evening.
