Jessica Edinburgh - Ochils navigation skills Feb 2026
"I had a great day out on the navigation course in Ochils and can’t recommend our guide, Davy, highly enough. He was incredibly friendly and approachable from the start, creating a really relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble — he went out of his way to answer every question and made sure everyone felt confident with the skills we were learning. I came away feeling much more capable with navigation and also really enjoyed the day out in the hills again. A brilliant experience — thank you!"

Ian Dalgety Bay - Ochils navigation skills Feb 2026
"As a relative novice to navigating and using maps, the day with Dave has given me the confidence and knowledge to make me feel safer in the hills. And a good fun day even if weather was miserable."
Vicky Edinburgh - Pentlands navigation skills Jan 2026
"Davy gave a very informative day teaching me on the hills about navigation where none of my questions felt stupid to ask. I now feel able to explore the hills more without the fear of getting lost or to rely on others to keep me on the right track."

Alison Edinburgh - Pentlands navigation skills Jan 2026
"Thank you Davy for an excellent day of navigation skills training. You explained everything extremely clearly and were very patient in going over things so that we both understood. I feel equipped now to go out on the hills and start consolidating these skills and planning some more interesting routes."

Denise Dolphinton - Dumyat navigational skills Oct 2025
"Just a little note to say thank you very much for the day on the Ochils on the 27th. I think that we all learned such a lot and I, for one, very much appreciate your time and expertise. Hopefully you enjoyed your day, too, and it didn't take too long to dry out afterwards!"

Alex Stonehaven - Ben Nevis & CMD arete Sept 2025
"We went up Ben Nevis via CMD arête, Davy met us at the north face car park and took us all the way up and down. Although the weather didn’t start off the best, Davy made sure we were all okay, checking in on us, making sure the pace was okay for everyone. He also gave us printed off maps of Ben Nevis so we could try and navigate. He allowed us to have breaks for food etc and even offered me his gloves/poles when I needed! Highly Recommend and will hopefully be back in summer :)"

Gareth Dunfermline - Buachaille Etive Mor Nov 2024
"Hoping to start climbing Munros in November 2024 I was hoping to get fit and see some of Scotland’s wonders. My brothers and I had chosen the Buachaille Etive Mor, Davy saw my post and got in touch and said that he would do the Buachaille with us. After assessing the weather we headed out and started our journey. Full of knowledge and eager to help us enjoy our new hobby he asked if we were interested in doing both Munro summits and so we did, all completed safely and so much fun. If you’re interested in safe guidance and lots of knowledge then look no further, we have since become good friends and completed over 20 together. He’s always teaching us and we enjoy every outing like the first."
