Ochils Navigational skills workshop - £30

Many hillwalkers will have packed away their gear at this time of year, winter conditions and shorter days put many off. This is the perfect time to explore places closer to home and focus in on skills development. Join us for this day in the central belt where we will learn the true skills of navigation, the ability of accurately determining current position before planning the next move then travelling to point B. Our aim is by the end of this day you will be starting to really dial in to your surroundings, familiar with use of the compass to take bearings, gauging distance, translating the 2D map in to the 3D environment, understanding your movement/timing across different terrains, relocation techniques, navigational strategies etc.
